As a realtor in the Destin area, you might be shocked by my *hot takes* regarding real estate agents — but I’m going to share them with you anyway.

First, you don’t need to work with a realtor to buy or sell a house. (Yep. I said it.)

Maybe you don’t care much about marketing or negotiation. Maybe you just want to sell quickly, and you honestly don’t mind leaving money on the table.

I get it. Everyone’s situation is different.

But 99% of people in Destin are not in this privileged situation.

Most folks here on the Emerald Coast need to maximize every dollar of equity when they sell. If their home is worth $400,000, they literally cannot afford to sell it quickly for $350,000 to an investor. They need that extra fifty grand.

And they’ll need to work with an experienced realtor with a track record of marketing and selling homes if they want to get top dollar.

So, here’s the second thing you need to know about realtors around here:

You don’t need to work with a realtor in the Destin area — you need to work with a good one.

The reality is that not all realtors are created equal. Many sell fewer than ten homes a year (or even fewer than five). 

Personally, I sell a LOT more than that each year. I’m not just an “above average” agent. I’m an elite one. And that’s what you need, whether you’re buying or selling.

I get my clients the very best results. If they’re selling, that means the highest price possible. If they’re buying, that means the lowest price possible, with the best terms.

So, to recap:

You don’t need to work with a realtor.

You need to work with a good one.
