First Home: An Emerald Coast Story

First Home: An Emerald Coast Story

It’s not unusual to set goals with time constraints, you know? We’ve all had the experience of starting a project that needs to be completed by a certain date. We have deadlines at work, home improvement projects to wrap up before the weather changes, passport renewal paperwork screaming to be submitted…

The list goes on and on.

But something I’ve found over the years is that no one sets goals like young people in their 20s. They have milestones that they’re chasing with every fiber of their beings: finding a life partner, buying a home, perhaps starting a family (or adopting a dog!).

The only caveat? They want it all done before they turn 30.

Thirty has become “the big one.” I think 20-somethings fear that if they don’t achieve their goals before then, they never will. This is far from true — some people don’t realize their dreams until they’re 80! — but I still admire the tenacity.

Recently, I worked with a client named Sara who wanted to purchase her first home before she turned 30. To make it work, she needed a fenced-in yard for her dog and enough space for her two cats. In essence, she wanted the best house she could afford without being forced to eat ramen noodles every day.

Thankfully, we were able to find the perfect home that met all her needs here in Milton.

Sara purchased a beautiful, 18-month-old home on nearly a full acre of land. The sellers had upgraded the place with new appliances, a fenced-in yard, and a storage building… and they were selling it fully furnished!

I’m so happy for Sara. It took a lot of searching, but she kept calm and made smart decisions throughout the homebuying process. I’m thrilled that she found such a wonderful place to call her own.

Thank you for allowing me to be part of your journey, and welcome home, Sara!
